Historical perspective to my writing
My father used to get many magazines including the Reader's Digest,The Illustrated Weekly of India, Dharmayug etc.and I picked up a habit of reading them.I was also an avid reader of books from the school and Children's library. Then I became a special underage member of the State Library.
My first experience of writing came around 1964,when my class teacher one Mr Smith, an Anglo-Indian, gave me the job of compiling the Class Journal.I wrote something and brought out the class journal.
Around the same time I became a member of the Benji League of The Statesman.
I sent a limerick which got published and I got a prize.
I think this was the start of my interest in writing.
